Ashley’s Day

The day starts around 7:30 am. Cabin counselors turn on lights, open windows, and greet campers.

Ashley heads to the courts her first training block brings the tennis division together with coaches on hard and clay courts. A dynamic warmup gets feet moving, with ladders, footwork patterns, and short sprints. Coaches break groups by skill level, then run technical drills. One court works on serves and toss, another on returns, another on rally patterns and consistency.

The second morning period builds on the first. One day might focus on doubles formations and communication, another on point construction in singles. Players rotate through stations for volleys, overheads, and transition patterns.

After 2 hours of her focus activity, Ashley choose to go arts & crafts.

Time for lunch. Rest Hour follows lunch. Back in the cabin, some campers read, write letters home, play quiet games, stretch, or talk with friends.

Forth period offers more choice. Ashley choose to go to the driving range for a skills clinic.

Snack Break!

Fifth period brings Ashley back to the courts for a private lesson and match play.

For Ashley’s sixth and final activity period of the day she heads to the lake for tubing.

Shower hour & Dinner

After dinner, the whole camp heads into Evening Program. Tonight is a camp favorite, MTV night where each cabin performs.

Before lights out, counselors help campers set one simple goal for the next day. The cabin settles in, lights go off at a set time so everyone is rested,

“Morning tennis is my favorite part of the day. I get better every session and i can’t wait to get back on the court.”
