Camp History

In 2012, New England Golf & Tennis Camp was founded, with the vision of creating a camp where young athletes could combine top-tier golf and tennis training with a traditional Maine camp experience. In 2015, NEGTC returned to the historic Kennebec property, uniting over 100 years of camp tradition.

Today, NEGTC continues to grow as a leader in specialty camping. Together with a team of professional coaches and caring mentors, NEGTC remains committed to its founding promise, a place where athletes and campers alike can thrive.

The grounds of New England Golf and Tennis Camp have been home to campers for over a century. Originally opened in 1907 as the Kennebec Camps, the site has long been a place where young people could discover themselves through outdoor adventure and camaraderie. In the 1990s, Kennebec transformed into a sports and adventure camp, further building on that legacy.
